  1. This was my first ever yoga lesson 5 years ago. I practiced this particular flow every morning for weeks and it was the first time I ever felt safe and at home in my body. I have fallen away from yoga the last two years, and today I decided to come back to this video. Returning to this space felt like coming home to myself. It felt so good I cried. Thank you Adriene💗🌸

  2. Getting back to yoga practice. I’ve never been a regular practitioner, I have only attended classes for a few months, but I’m determined to change that. I want to work on my strength and flexibility and relieve the muscle and joint stiffness I feel on a daily basis. Thank you Adriene, for sharing with us your knowledge!

  3. Thank you! I’ve wanted to get into yoga for what feels like forever to strengthen my core and help decompress after a busy work day, but it was always so overwhelming! This video has me in poses I didn’t think I would be able to do on the first try!

  4. you are amazing! thank you, you clearly have a understanding of what the beginners struggles with

    all love❤️

  5. This is the first yoga video I’ve really loved. You do it so I can keep up and you speak clearly. Thank you for making this. It’s nice to watch a beginner yoga video that’s actually for beginners lol! Thanks so much!

  6. First timer here. I’ve been working out for a year and was doing just fine until about 13 minutes in. I started laughing when I realized how damn stiff and rigid many of my muscles are. Had to take a break at one point, but managed to somehow get through the whole thing 😅 Thanks a lot! Will definitely come back to this ❤

  7. Thanks for this 💯. Yoga is something I’m definitely going to start doing. Namaste ✨ 🙏🏾

  8. My first yoga ever as a 34-year old and I just feel happy after the session! My spine feels super activated and it makes me want to keep a good posture.

  9. 16, going on 17. I have some unhealthy habits and so I figured exercising would be a good habit to get into and just to better myself as a person. My dad suggested yoga. This was the first video that popped up and I love it, I think this is really going to help. Thank you!

    1. 17 year old here! It’s awesome that you’re trying to get into healthy habits. This channel makes a lot of really good yoga videos and it helps me a lot w my mental health. Good luck with your journey, don’t put too much pressure on yourself, you got this

    2. The way this chat functions? U gonna find support on this thread for the rest of your life. GO YOU! Keep It Up!

  10. I’m suffering with really bad anxiety right now, and your videos are the only thing keeping me sane.
    THANK YOU <3

    1. I was too, and found that taking magnesium really helped! Best to take it in a powder form, and mix a spoon in with a glass of water. Try it, it may just do the trick x

    2. I actually use magnesium in the powder too like Alexandra T said, as well as many other tricks for anxiety, but yoga does really help me. Stick with it, I’ve suffered from anxiety almost all my life, it’s definitely not easy but it can be beaten, you can do it!

    3. I have anxiety also which often cause panic attacks .sending you ❤ I had a bad one last night that’s why I’m here.

  11. I’ve followed this video 33 mornings in a row, and it still cracks me up at the end when Adriene says, “That was just a simple sequence to get us started.” I’m 52. It has definitely not gotten “simple” for me yet, but it’s so gratifying to witness myself becoming stronger, slimmer, and more flexible each day. I’m so grateful for this video. Thank you, Adriene!

    1. I totally get you! At 53, those simple sequences are a bit challenging. Been looking to regain flexibility and her flows seems to be the most relaxed and patient for inflexible me lol.

    2. I’m 51 and just getting started too. Simple it is not but I’m proud of myself for trying and laughing at myself vs. getting discouraged.

    3. I’m 62 and these simple positions have made me feel like I’m 92!. Lovin’ it, sticking with it, thank you Adriene.

  12. Recovering from anorexia rn and this honestly is so helpful. Ur so encouraging and easy to follow. I never had fun doing anything physical before. I feel sm more confident about my body ima tear up. Srsly thank u

  13. Male, 52, 5’10” 200lbs, recovering from bypass surgery – this was my first Yoga lesson ever yesterday! This was wonderful, looking forward to the journey!!!

  14. This is my first time trying yoga and I feel relaxed and refreshed. I love the detailed instructions you gave since I couldn’t always see my phone.

    1. True, the first few times, I feel like I sacrificed my position by trying to look at the screen.
But, this routine doesn’t take long to get down with muscle memory.
Just listening to her, I feel like I don’t need to watch after about a week, or 2.

  15. Morbidly obese woman here trying to better herself. Really loved this, being so big I struggle with some of the positions but just pushing myself a little it was so worth it. I can’t wait to get better at Yoga alongside other exercises and diet, most of all I can’t wait to get better physically. Thank you so much for sharing this, it gives me determination and confidence

    1. Same here!! I don’t need someone at the gym screaming at me to push it to the point of injuring myself, and never wanting to come back. This makes me want to come back every day ❤️

    2. Thank you for sharing this. I am new to Yoga and have struggled with weight issues. You are so inspiring me to do this. Blessings!

  16. I’m trying yoga for the first time. Trying to be in better shape and deal with my anxiety. You made it seem approachable.

    1. Trying it out right now. I’ve started meditation, reading, sleeping earlier and many others hopefully this will be something I can utilize in my workout driven life.

    1. That’s how is seems at the start…trust me…take your time…do what you can do now…stick with it and you will surprise yourself. Some days are better than others…that’s not the point…do it for you and you’ll benefit no matter what!

    2. Me, but after you try many times you get accustomed to it and you learn to relax more and enjoy the exercises.

  17. male, age 50, 5’8″ 236 lbs, started meditating three weeks ago, today will be third day of yoga in a row.  first disciplined practice of meditation and first ever attempt at yoga.  makin’ it happen!!

    1. Awesome! I love meditation I’m on my six month. I suggest you listen to binarial beats when you meditate. Makes your brainwaves relax a lot and is very beneficial to the process. Good luck!

    2. Hi Daniels Mark, I was wondering if you have found meditation and yoga helpful? My doctor recommended both and I would be interested in your perspective

    3. Gorhob Perkins HI. I don’t know if Daniels replied to you, but i can guarantee that both yoga and/or meditation are verry powerfull ”techniques” to find a deeper snese of self, awareness and inner peace, and of course many many more things which can not be explained, but you just have to try for yourself. Peace.
